ABOUT

Gillian has a keen interest in the repair and adaptation of historic buildings and the enviromental impact of design stemming from her professional and educational experience in architectural conservation both in Ireland and Scotland.

Throughout her career, Gillian has worked on a broad range of building typologies and building briefs, including high end private residential, commercial and health care fit-outs. Her main field of work is in conservation projects of various scales and project stages, with duties including initial site surveying, the development of packages for planning, tender and construction as well as curating competition entries.

Her graduate work has featured in publications such as Dezeen, the Edinburgh College of Art online and Physical Graduate Showcase, the virtual student degree show Alt_D and a physical exhibition at the Zembla Gallery in the Scottish Borders.

She has contributed as a tour guide during both Irish Architecture Foundation’s Annual Open House and Culture Night festivals, and regularly volunteers with The International Literature Festival Dublin.

Achieved a special distinction award in the field of Architectural Survey and History from The Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland.
